Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Contractanaut website, and do not govern any staffing, placement or related services, which are provided only under a separate written agreement.

  • Effective 17 September 2026
  • Version 1.0

1. Acceptance and scope

1.1 The website located at contractanaut.com, together with its subdomains and associated content (the "Site"), is operated by Contractanaut LLC, a company organised under the laws of the Republic of Kosovo, trading as Contractanaut ("Contractanaut", "we", "us", "our").

1.2 These Terms of Use (these "Terms") govern access to and use of the Site. By accessing or using the Site, you ("you", "your") agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not access or use the Site.

1.3 "Content" means all text, graphics, images, logos, calculators, tools, case studies, candidate cards, data and other material made available on or through the Site, whether created by Contractanaut or licensed from a third party.

1.4 The Site is directed to business and professional users. You represent that you are at least eighteen (18) years of age and are accessing the Site for business or professional purposes and not as a consumer. If you are accessing or using the Site on behalf of an organisation, you represent and warrant that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms, and "you" then refers to that organisation as well as to you individually.

2. Separate agreements for services

2.1 Contractanaut provides staffing, placement, headhunting and related services (the "Services") to clients and engages with candidates only under separate written agreements. These Terms govern use of the Site only and do not create, and shall not be construed as creating, any right to receive, or obligation to provide, any Service.

2.2 Nothing on the Site, including any pricing indication, calculator output, availability board, candidate card or case study, constitutes an offer capable of acceptance, a quotation, or a binding commitment of any kind. Any engagement of Contractanaut's Services by a client is governed exclusively by a separate written agreement executed between Contractanaut and that client (a "Client Agreement"). Any engagement of Contractanaut by a candidate is governed exclusively by separate written terms agreed between Contractanaut and that candidate.

2.3 In the event of any conflict or inconsistency between these Terms and a Client Agreement or candidate terms, the Client Agreement or candidate terms, as applicable, shall prevail to the extent of the inconsistency, but only as between Contractanaut and the party to that agreement.

3. Informational content; no advice; no reliance

3.1 The Content is provided for general informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, tax, employment, immigration, financial or other professional advice. You should seek independent professional advice before acting or declining to act on the basis of any Content.

3.2 Cost-of-hiring calculator. Outputs of the cost-of-hiring calculator are estimates generated from the inputs you provide and general assumptions disclosed on the calculator page. They are illustrative only, are not a quotation, and do not bind Contractanaut to any price or term.

3.3 Comparison pages. Pages comparing Contractanaut to other providers are compiled from those providers' publicly available materials as of the dates shown on the relevant page, may be out of date or incomplete, and are not verified by the providers concerned. Third-party names, logos and trademarks referenced on the Site belong to their respective owners, and their appearance on the Site does not imply any affiliation, sponsorship or endorsement.

3.4 Case studies. Case studies describe past engagements and past results. Past results do not guarantee, and are not a prediction of, future or similar outcomes.

3.5 Availability boards and sample cards. Candidate availability boards, and any sample or illustrative candidate cards, are illustrative, are subject to change without notice, and do not constitute an offer, guarantee or representation that any particular candidate is available, suitable or willing to be engaged.

4. Licence to use the Site and intellectual property

4.1 Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the Site for your own internal business purposes. No other right or licence is granted.

4.2 The Site and the Content are protected by copyright, trademark and other intellectual property laws and are owned by Contractanaut or its licensors. All rights not expressly granted in these Terms are reserved. "Contractanaut" and associated names, logos and marks are trademarks of Contractanaut, and no right to use them is granted except as expressly permitted in writing.

5. Acceptable use

You shall not, and shall not permit any third party to:

  • scrape, crawl, harvest or otherwise access the Site or Content by automated means, other than a public search engine crawler that honours the Site's robots.txt file, without our prior written consent;
  • use the Content, in whole or in part, to train, fine-tune, validate or benchmark any machine-learning or artificial-intelligence model, without our prior written consent;
  • reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any part of the Site, or attempt to circumvent any security or access-control measure;
  • introduce any virus, malware or other harmful code, or interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Site or the servers or networks connected to it;
  • impersonate any person, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person, or frame or mirror any part of the Site without our prior written consent;
  • use any information relating to a candidate obtained through the Site, or through a shared candidate link, to contact, solicit or engage that candidate otherwise than through Contractanaut; a shared candidate link and its contents are confidential to the recipient and shall not be forwarded or disclosed to any third party without our prior written consent.

6. Submissions and feedback

6.1 Where you submit information through an enquiry, booking or other form on the Site, you warrant that the information is accurate and that you have the right to submit it.

6.2 If you submit any comment, suggestion, idea or other feedback concerning the Site ("Feedback"), you grant Contractanaut a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce, modify and exploit that Feedback for any purpose, without any obligation to you.

6.3 Candidate application materials submitted through the Site are dealt with under our Privacy Notice, including the section addressed to candidates: see Section 6, Candidates.

7. Privacy and cookies

Our collection and use of personal information in connection with the Site, including our use of cookies and other tracking technologies, is described in our Privacy Notice at /privacy/. The Privacy Notice is a notice and not a contractual document.

8. Electronic communications

By using the Site or providing your contact particulars, you consent to receive communications from us electronically, including by email, and agree that such communications satisfy any legal requirement that communications be in writing. You may opt out of marketing communications as described in our Privacy Notice.

The Site may link to, or embed, websites and services operated by third parties. Such websites and services are governed by their own terms and privacy notices, are not controlled by Contractanaut, and Contractanaut is not responsible for their content, accuracy or practices. Inclusion of a link does not imply endorsement.

10. Disclaimers

10.1 The Site and the Content are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy or availability, to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

10.2 We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, or that the Site or the servers that make it available are free of viruses or other harmful components.

11. Limitation of liability

11.1 This Section 11 concerns liability arising from your use of the Site only. Liability arising from any Service is governed exclusively by the applicable Client Agreement or candidate terms.

11.2 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Contractanaut be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, business, goodwill or data, arising out of or in connection with your use of, or inability to use, the Site, whether based in contract, tort, statute or otherwise, and whether or not we have been advised of the possibility of such loss.

11.3 To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the aggregate liability of Contractanaut arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site shall not exceed one hundred United States dollars (USD 100).

11.4 Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by applicable law.

12. Indemnity

You shall indemnify and hold Contractanaut harmless from and against any claim, liability, loss, cost or expense, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Site, save to the extent caused by Contractanaut's own breach of these Terms or negligence.

13. Suspension and termination of access

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site, in whole or in part, at any time and without notice, including where we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms or engaged in conduct harmful to the Site, other users or Contractanaut. Sections of these Terms which by their nature are intended to survive termination, including Sections 4, 10, 11, 12 and 14, shall survive.

14. Governing law and disputes

14.1 These Terms are governed by, and shall be construed in accordance with, the laws of the Republic of Kosovo, without regard to its conflict of laws principles.

14.2 Before commencing formal proceedings, the parties shall attempt in good faith to resolve any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms through informal negotiation for a period of thirty (30) days following written notice of the dispute.

14.3 Subject to Section 14.2, the Basic Court of Pristina, Republic of Kosovo, shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.

14.4 This Section is without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection to which you may be entitled under the law of your place of habitual residence, which these Terms do not seek to exclude.

15. General

15.1 Changes. We may amend these Terms from time to time. An amended version takes effect upon publication on the Site with a revised effective date. Where a change is material, we shall provide prominent notice on the Site. Continued use of the Site after a change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

15.2 Assignment. We may assign or transfer these Terms, in whole or in part, to an affiliate or to a successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation or sale of all or substantially all of our assets. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent.

15.3 Severability. If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision shall be enforced to the maximum extent permissible and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

15.4 No waiver. No failure or delay by us in exercising any right under these Terms shall operate as a waiver of that right.

15.5 Entire agreement. As regards your use of the Site, these Terms, together with the Privacy Notice, constitute the entire agreement between you and Contractanaut and supersede all prior agreements and understandings relating to that subject matter.

15.6 Force majeure. We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control.

15.7 Language. These Terms are drawn up in English. Any translation is provided for convenience only, and the English version shall prevail in the event of any inconsistency.

15.8 Headings. Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect interpretation.
